1. Archdiocesan Youth & Young Adult Ministry Office - Structure, staff, listing of services, etc.

   1. Mission

      The Archdiocesan Office of Youth & Young Adult Ministry (OYYAM) offers support and consultation to youth ministers, and provides coordination and sponsorship of youth ministry and young adult activities on the archdiocesan and regional levels. It develops, enables, and leads archdiocesan programs for youth and young adult ministry that provides for the total personal and spiritual growth of young people to draw them into responsible participation in the life, mission and work of the Church.

   2. Structure

      The OYYAM consists of two full-time professional youth ministry leaders and a part-time administrative assistant. The director coordinates the efforts of the office on behalf of the archbishop and is assisted by an assistant director.

   4. Services

      The OYYAM offers direct and indirect youth ministry services. Direct services include annual archdiocesan youth gathering (conference or rally), biennial trips to the National Catholic Youth Conference, and young adult pilgrimages to International World Youth Day. Indirect services include consultations with pastors, coordinators of youth ministry, vicariates, parish staff, parish councils, etc to advocate and educate according to the archbishop's vision of youth ministry.
