Michal is the Coordinator for Youth & Young Adult Ministry for the Archdiocese of Portland in Oregon. He holds a Master of Pastoral Ministry degree from the University of Portland and a Bachelor of Science degree in Aerospace Engineering degree from Parks College of St. Louis University. He also holds a Certificate in Youth Ministry Studies and a Certificate in Ministry with Young Adults from the Center for Ministry Development. He has worked as a volunteer youth minister, a multi-parish youth ministry coordinator, and a full-time parish coordinator of youth ministry. Formerly, Michal served as the Director of Youth Ministry for the National Shrine of Our Lady of the Snows. In addition to several task groups, Michal has served on the Adult Training and Certification Management Committee of the National Federation for Catholic Youth Ministry (NFCYM) since 2002 and chaired the ATCMC from 2003-2005. He currently serves on the NFCYM's Board of Directors as the Region 12 representative (Alaska, Idaho, Montana, Oregon, and Washington).

ministers and pastors. It provides coordination and sponsorship
of youth ministry and young adult activities on the archdiocesan
and regional levels. It
develops, enables, and leads archdiocesan
programs for youth and young adult ministry that provides for the total personal
and spiritual growth of young people to draw them into responsible participation
in the life, mission and work of the Church. The Youth & Young Adult Ministry
office is a part of the Department of Evangelization of the Archdiocese of
Portland in Oregon.
